Refund Policy

1. Free Trial (When Available)

7-Day Free Trial - Available for first-time users:

  • No credit card required to start trial
  • Full access to all platform features
  • Trial automatically expires after 7 days
  • No automatic billing - you must choose a plan to continue after trial
  • One free trial per user (verified by email address)

2. Monthly Subscription Plans

Billing: Charged monthly on the anniversary of your signup date.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

Refund Policy: No refunds for partial months.

  • When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • You will not be charged again after cancellation
  • No prorated refunds are provided for unused days in the billing period
  • You retain access to all features until your subscription expires

Example: If you subscribe on January 15 and cancel on February 1, you will have access until February 15 (end of billing period), but will not receive a refund for February 1-15.

3. Annual Subscription Plans

Billing: Charged once per year with significant savings compared to monthly plans.

Refund Window: 30-day money-back guarantee.

  • Within 30 days: Full refund available if you're not satisfied
  • After 30 days: Non-refundable
  • You may cancel to prevent auto-renewal, but will not receive a prorated refund
  • After cancellation, you retain access until the end of your annual term

Refund Request: To request a refund within 30 days, contact [email protected] with your account email and reason for cancellation. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.

4. Credits and Usage

Credit Expiration: Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle.

  • Credits do not roll over to the next billing period
  • Credits are non-refundable (even if you cancel your subscription)
  • Use credits before they expire - they reset monthly/annually

Example: If you have a plan with 100 credits/month and only use 50, the remaining 50 credits expire at the end of the month. You cannot accumulate credits.

5. One-Time Purchases

For one-time purchases (lifetime licenses, credit packs, etc.):

  • Within 30 days: Refund available if product is defective or doesn't work as advertised
  • After 30 days: No refunds (all sales final)
  • Must demonstrate technical issues preventing use of the product

6. Exceptions (Refund Consideration)

We may consider refunds outside the standard policy in the following cases:

  • Technical Issues: Service is unavailable for an extended period (3+ consecutive days)
  • Billing Errors: You were charged incorrectly or multiple times
  • Unauthorized Charges: Someone else used your payment method without permission
  • Feature Unavailability: Advertised features don't work as described

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund (within eligible window):

  1. Email [email protected] with subject line "Refund Request"
  2. Include your account email address
  3. Provide purchase date and subscription type
  4. Explain reason for refund (optional but helpful)
  5. Our support team will respond within 1-2 business days

Processing Time: Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

8. Data Retention After Cancellation

When you cancel your subscription:

  • During Active Period: All your data remains accessible until subscription expires
  • After Expiration: Your audiobook files are retained for 30 days as a grace period
  • After Grace Period: All files are permanently deleted (cannot be recovered)
  • Download Before Expiration: We recommend downloading your audiobooks before cancellation

9. Chargebacks and Disputes

Please contact us before filing a chargeback. Chargebacks can result in:

  • Immediate account suspension
  • Loss of access to your audiobooks and data
  • Permanent ban from future use of AudiBound

10. Changes to Refund Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
