1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, improve your experience, and provide analytics to website owners.
2. How We Use Cookies and Similar Storage
Besides cookies, we use your browser's local and session storage for the same purposes. This policy covers both. We use them only for:
- Essential: keeping you logged in, protecting forms from bots, and remembering your cookie and accessibility choices. These are always on because the site cannot work properly without them.
- Analytics (optional): understanding how people use Audibound and which campaigns bring them here. These only run if you accept analytics cookies.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data.
3. What We Use
3.1 Essential (always on)

3.2 Analytics (only with your consent)

Analytics identify you by an account ID, never your email address. Separately, error reports (what broke and on which page) are sent to PostHog for everyone so we can fix problems; they use no cookies or browser storage. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, analytics stay off even if you accept them.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Google (Analytics) and PostHog set the analytics cookies above, only if you accept them. Cloudflare sets the security cookies above. When you pay, you are taken to Stripe, which sets its own cookies for payment and fraud prevention; see Stripe's privacy policy.
5. How to Manage Cookies
5.1 Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit our website, you'll see a cookie consent banner allowing you to:
- Accept all cookies
- Accept only essential cookies
- Customize cookie preferences
You can change your choice at any time: Cookie Settings (also in the footer of every page). If you turn analytics off, the page reloads without them.
5.2 Browser Settings
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Note: Blocking essential cookies may prevent the website from functioning properly.
5.3 Do Not Track (DNT)
We respect the "Do Not Track" and "Global Privacy Control" browser settings. If either is on, analytics never run, whatever you choose in the banner.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Know what cookies are used and why
- Consent to non-essential cookies
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Object to cookies used for analytics
